Wellbeing
At Longmead Community Farm, we offer inclusive, nature‑based wellbeing support that nurtures emotional health, confidence and connection.
Music Wellbeing
Music sessions provide a powerful, non‑verbal way to explore emotions, build confidence and connect with others. Activities may include:
- group music‑making,
- rhythm and sound exploration,
- songwriting and reflective listening
Music wellbeing is particularly effective for supporting emotional regulation, self‑expression and social connection.
Art Wellbeing
Creative art sessions offer safe, non‑judgemental opportunities for expression using a variety of materials:
- including paint
- clay
- natural and sensory resources.
Art wellbeing supports emotional expression, confidence and communication, particularly for those who find it hard to put feelings into words.
Garden & Nature Wellbeing
Our garden and outdoor spaces are used therapeutically to support wellbeing through gentle, hands‑on activities such as:
- planting
- sensory exploration,
- mindfulness and
- reflective outdoor tasks.
Nature‑based wellbeing can help reduce anxiety, improve mood and encourage a sense of achievement and calm.
Nature & Reflective Wellbeing
Time in nature is woven throughout our wellbeing work, including:
- guided walks,
- mindful observation
- sensory activities
- quiet reflective moments.
These sessions support relaxation, grounding and reconnection with self and surroundings.
One‑to‑One and Group Support
We can offer wellbeing support in different formats, depending on need:
- 1:1 wellbeing sessions, tailored to individual needs
- Small group wellbeing activities
- Group programmes for community groups, organisations or referred participants
Sessions can be delivered as one‑off activities or as part of a structured programme over time.
Skilled, Inclusive Facilitation
All wellbeing sessions at Longmead are delivered by experienced facilitators who are SEN‑trained and skilled in inclusive, trauma‑aware and wellbeing‑focused practice. Activities are adapted to meet different abilities, learning styles and emotional needs, ensuring participants feel safe, supported and respected.
Safeguarding and wellbeing are central to everything we do, and all sessions are delivered in line with our safeguarding policies and procedures.
A Calm, Supportive Rural Setting
Our wellbeing work takes place across Longmead’s varied indoor and outdoor spaces, including creative rooms, gardens, woodland and open green areas. The setting itself plays an important role in supporting calm, reflection and connection.
